For Serial Exchange CUSP collaborated with three jewellers from Victoria ~ Sue Buchanan, Katie Collins and Eli Giannini.
Each artist selected a one metre square 'site’ as the inspiration for artworks made individually and collaboratively. The sites varied from gritty street detail of inner city Melbourne to rocky foreshores of Bruny island, Tasmania.
The exchange of sketches, photos and words, accompanied by the developing artwork and potential materials, took place via the postal service. This process recognised the distance between the makers and left a physical legacy of the exchange over time as well as creating a sense of occasion about the exchange itself.
The exhibition showed at Loop Project Space in Melbourne as a part of the inaugural Radiant Pavilion Contemporary Jewellery and Object Trail.
